Beautiful Bridge

Took a walk Tuesday afternoon to the 1st St bridge over the Big Thompson river. It's a beautiful bridge, built in 2001, with interesting design features and some gorgeous mosaics of animals who inhabit the area. The mosaics are only fully visible from the pedestrian parts of the bridge, most drivers probably don't notice them.

This is a view of the bridge from the south side, taken from the city rec trail which runs along the river (and under the bridge) at this point. The small circles are representations of the phases of the moon, done in red and blue mosaic tile.
